Which keywords are allowed at olumax?
We review every keyword before it is reserved. That keeps olumax a reputable and legally sound place for all of our customers.
The principle: context decides
A sensitive term is not automatically disallowed. What decides it is the context in which it is used. Advisory, support, prevention, medical, therapeutic, legal, journalistic and academic services are expressly welcome, including where they deal with difficult subjects. What is excluded are services that advertise, offer, trivialise or enable harmful or unlawful behaviour.
The review also takes account of spelling variants, substituted digits and characters, and word combinations. Where the judgement is not clear cut, no automatic system decides it but a person, and you can ask for a manual review at any time.
The statuses in the search
- Available: The keyword can be reserved in this city without obligation.
- Reserved: A specific enquiry exists. If no order follows, the keyword is released again.
- Taken: The keyword is already firmly allocated in this city.
- Review required: Depending on the context the keyword may be allowed. A person will review what you have told us.
- Not allowed: The keyword can be neither reserved nor allocated nor published as a website.
Excluded content
Violence and glorifying violence
Services that advertise or glorify violence, threats, intimidation or violence for hire.
Sexual violence and abuse
Any form of depicting, soliciting or marketing sexual violence, and any content involving minors. This category is blocked without exception.
Hate speech and discrimination
Demeaning or inciting hatred against people or groups, in particular over origin, religion, sex, sexual identity, disability or belief.
Insult, defamation and harassment
Keywords aimed at defaming, bullying, stalking or deliberately harassing individual people or businesses.
Extremism and terror
Glorifying, supporting or financing extremist and terrorist aims, and symbols hostile to the constitution.
Weapons and dangerous objects
Illegal trade in weapons, ammunition and explosives, and instructions for making them.
Crime and fraud
Money laundering, forging documents and records, handling stolen goods, bought reviews, malware and comparable offerings.
Data protection and surveillance
Spying on data, covert surveillance, publishing other people's personal data and trading in address lists.
Human trafficking and exploitation
Human trafficking, forced labour, organ trading and any form of exploiting people.
Self harm and suicide
Glorifying or instructing self harm, eating disorders or suicide. Support and prevention services are expressly allowed.
Cruelty to animals and illegal animal trade
Animal fights, poaching, and illegal trade in animals and protected species.
Illegal substances and prescription medicines
Trade in narcotics, doping agents or prescription medicines without a medical basis.
Impermissible sexual services
Services without consent, involving coercion, or involving minors.
False identities and titles
Pretending to be an authority, a profession or the holder of an academic title, and selling forged credentials.

If your service has been restricted wrongly, ask for a manual review directly in the search. We need your trade, a short description of what you offer and your contact details. After the review we come back to you personally. A review is not a promise of approval; a reservation only exists once the keyword has been released.
